Supplementary explanation:
When stopping Command View XP AE Suite product services, stop them in the following order. For
details, see the manual for each product:
1. The services of other Command View XP AE Suite products
2. The Common Component service
3. Select Start, Setting, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, and select HP StorageWorks XP Replication
Monitor software in the Add/Remove Programs window, and then click the Add/Remove button.
A window informs you of the start of the uninstallation and then prompts you to confirm that the services of
all Command View XP AE Suite products have been stopped. The message also prompts you to confirm that
the services of Common Component (HBase Storage Mgmt Web Service and HBase Storage Mgmt
Common Service) have been stopped. These two services are started and stopped during the uninstallation.
4. Click the Next button.
A window indicates that preparation for the uninstallation is complete. This window displays the content
that will be uninstalled.
NOTE: When HBase Storage Mgmt Web Service and HBase Storage Mgmt Common Service are not
stopped, an error message appears instead of the window.
5. Check the displayed uninstallation information, and then click the Execution button.
Uninstallation begins and windows appear indicating the status of the process.
When the uninstallation completes normally, the Uninstallation Complete window appears.
In the following cases, the Uninstallation Has Stopped window appears:
• When you instruct the uninstaller to stop the uninstallation by clicking the Cancel button.
• When the uninstallation stops because an error occurred during the uninstallation.
6. Click the Finish button to finish the uninstallation.
The Uninstallation Complete Window closes.
If the uninstallation completes normally, the Common Component services (HBase Storage Mgmt Web
Service and HBase Storage Mgmt Common Service) are in the stopped status.

2-4 Installing an agent on a pair management server
In an open system, installing a XP Replication Monitor agent in the pair management server enables XP
Replication Monitor software functions to be used more effectively.
Before you can install the XP Replication Monitor agent, the Device Manager agent must be installed as a
prerequisite program. For details about the Device Manager agent, see section
2-2-3 .
The following section explains how to install a XP Replication Monitor agent.
2-4-1 Installing an XP Replication Monitor agent on a pair management server
(For open systems)
This subsection describes how to install and uninstall a XP Replication Monitor agent on the pair management
server in an open system.
Prior to installation or uninstallation, check the following:
• When the target pair management server uses Windows as its OS, the user must log in using a user ID in
the Administrator group.
