Make sure that a Device Manager server version 5.0 or later is installed and set up so that the management
server, management client, and storage subsystem can be communicate with each other. For details about the

Even when XP Replication Monitor software is to be used only for managing mainframe-based volume replication,
you must install and set up the Device Manager server in the same management server where XP Replication
Monitor software is installed.
