* The purpose of setting up a management server at the secondary site in the same configuration as the
management server at the primary site is to ensure that the system can recover from disasters. When XP
Replication Monitor software is running on the management server at the primary site, you do not need the
management server at the secondary site.
1-2 System components
The standard configuration includes all of the independently installed hardware components that compose a
system.
The following tables describe the relationship between the hardware components and their installed software
components, separated into open system and mainframe system configurations.
