ModifyVirtualVolume
For XP24000/XP20000, ModifyVirtualVolume assigns and releases assignations between
volumes for Thin Provisioning Software (virtual volumes) and pools for Thin Provisioning Software,
and changes the usage threshold rate of volumes for Thin Provisioning Software. For P9500, this
command expands a THP volume.
NOTE:
This command can be used only with P9500 and XP24000/XP20000.
For XP24000/XP20000, the following conditions must be satisfied when specifying a volume for Thin
Provisioning Software:
• If you are assigning a volume for Thin Provisioning Software to a pool for Thin Provisioning Soft-
ware, the volume for Thin Provisioning Software must not already be assigned to a pool for Thin
Provisioning Software.
• If you are assigning a volume for Thin Provisioning Software to a pool for Thin Provisioning Soft-
ware, the status of the pool for Thin Provisioning Software must not be Blocked.
• If you are assigning a pool for Thin Provisioning Software, the over-provisioning percent must be
less than the over provisioning limit threshold.
• If you are releasing a volume for Thin Provisioning Software from a pool for Thin Provisioning
Software, or if you are only changing the threshold value, the volume for Thin Provisioning Software
must already be assigned to a pool for Thin Provisioning Software.
• If you are releasing a volume for Thin Provisioning Software from a pool for Thin Provisioning
Software, it must not have a path.
