Security functions evaluated based on Common Criteria for HP StorageWorks P9000 Command
View Advanced Edition Software Common Component refer to functions that provide the user
authentication and access control necessary for creating and operating a system that uses HP
StorageWorks P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite software in a configuration evaluated
based on Common Criteria. The functions also maintain the system.
This chapter provides an overview of the system in a configuration evaluated based on Common
Criteria for Common Component. It also explains how to use this guide and describes how to define
a security policy and how to create and operate a system.

Intended readers
This guide is intended for the following types of users who use HP StorageWorks P9000 Command
View Advanced Edition Suite software in a configuration evaluated based on Common Criteria. In
this guide, these users are collectively called administrators.
1-1-1-1 System integrators (server and network administrators)
Those who perform maintenance tasks for the system, such as backing up the data on a server.
System integrators also determine and set the parameters required for creating and operating the
system.
1-1-1-2 Account administrators
Those who perform account administration tasks for users who want to operate and set up the
system.
1-1-1-3 Storage administrators
Those who perform storage management tasks, such as allocation, for resources in the storage
installed by a system integrator.

Operations must be performed in the order described in this guide. Note that the reading sequence
is determined by whether you want to create or operate a system.
