HP StorageWorks Command View XP Replication Monitor V5.0 release notes (T1784-96005, April 2006)
Compatibility/Interoperability 6
• When using Mozilla 1.4, if you perform an operation in the main window while the user management
dialog box is open and then attempt to close the dialog box, sometimes the dialog box does not close,
and the window becomes blank. If this happens, refresh the main window again.
• When using Mozilla 1.4, the following problem might occur under the following operations.
Operation:
Any node in the object tree of the navigation area is selected, and the information area is displayed.
(1) The tree (say Tree A) in the navigation area is updated by the operation from the information area
or the dialog.
(2) The navigation area is operated, and the display of the tree is switched to other (say Tree B).
(3) The navigation area is operated, and the tree is returned to Tree A.
Problem:
The node, which has been selected in Tree A displayed at the first operation, is displayed on the top of
the navigation area, and nodes located above the node are not displayed in the navigation area.
Apply the following workaround for this problem.
Workaround:
(1) Push the Refresh Tree button of the navigation area.
(2) Scroll the scrollbar of the navigation area when there is a scrollbar.
4. About the operation in the screen of My Copy Groups
The Java Script error can occur while operating the screen of My Copy Groups. In this case, log out and
then log in to Replication Monitor again.
5. About the operation of the navigation area
Internal error (KAPM08201-E) can occur if the follow operations are applied on the tree in the navigation
area.
• Remove Information Source
• Refresh Configuration
If more than one user logs in XP Replication Monitor, the internal error (KAPM08201-E) can occur when the
other user applies the above operations.
Press the Refresh Tree button for updating the tree state if the internal error (KAPM08201-E) occurred.
Notes on restoring a database
When executing hcmdsdb command for a database restoration while the service of HiRDB has been started,
KAPM05537-I message is output.
In this case, check the state of the service of HiRDB by the following command:
<Command View XP AE Suite common component Installation folder>\bin\hcmdssrv /status
If the service of HiRDB has been started, execute the hcmdsdb command again after stopping the service of
HiRDB by the following command:
< Command View XP AE Suite common component Installation folder>\bin\hcmdssrv /stop
Notes on transferring user information from version 4
To transfer user information from version 4 to version 5, the following operations are necessary:
• Device Manager and XP Replication Monitor must be upgraded to version 5.

and then grant the XP Replication Monitor permissions to the user who was using version 4.
