Virtual memory requirements
If adequate virtual memory is not allocated on the management server, P9000 Command View AE
suite products and any other installed programs might become unstable or might not start. To ensure
stable operation, in addition to the virtual memory required for the OS and other programs, the
information in Table 11 should be taken into account.
For details on the latest virtual memory requirements, see the documentation for each product.

If Device Manager Agent is installed on the management server, you need to
allocate additional virtual memory for it.

If Application Agent is installed on the management server, you need to secure
an additional 128 MB of virtual memory for Application Agent.

Example of calculating virtual memory
Device Manager, Tiered Storage Manager, and Replication Manager are always installed together.
If 1,000 MB of virtual memory is already used by the OS and other programs:
2,600 (for Device Manager, Tiered Storage Manager, and Replication Manager) + 750 (for P9000
Command View AE Common Component) + 1,000 (already used virtual memory) = 4,350
Therefore, 4,350 MB or more of virtual memory must be secured.
