• The name of the host that manages P-VOL described in the configuration definition file in the host
that manages S-VOL.
• The following IP addresses in 1 and 2 are not the same, or the IP addresses as noted in 3 and 4
are not the same:
1. The IP address of the host that manages P-VOL is resolved by the host itself.
2. The IP address that DNS resolves from the name of the host that manages P-VOL described
in the configuration definition file of the host that manages S-VOL.
3. The IP address of the host that manages S-VOL is resolved by the host itself.
4. The IP address that DNS resolves from the name of the host that manages S-VOL described
in the configuration definition file of the host that manages P-VOL.
