Operation not complete after logging in to GUI
When the operation is not complete 30 minutes after logging in to the GUI, the following error might
be displayed.
The session is not valid. You must log in again.
KAIC16009-E
If this occurs, log in again.
Edit LUN Paths dialog box
The Status column of Path Information displays Waiting or blank in the Task Details dialog box of Edit
LUN Paths.
Task dialog box
When the Allocate Volumes dialog box is launched with 30 or more hosts, it might not be updated.
If this occurs, refresh the task dialog box.
Host list
When multiple hosts are registered by a virtualization server, the task status will show a dash (-) for
the second and subsequent hosts. The task status is displayed under the host list on the Administration
tab.
About Mozilla 1.7.13 (HP-UX 11i v3)
If the Device Manager GUI uses Mozilla 1.7.13 on HP-UX 11i v3 for PA-RISC, the IPv6 protocol cannot
be used to communicate with the Device Manager server.
Using the CLI to create copy pairs
If the replicationfunction parameter is omitted in either of the following operations, an error
(KAIC90083-E) occurs.
Creating a copy pair by using the AddReplication command
Creating a configuration file using the AddConfigFileForReplication command
To perform these operations, you must specify the replicationfunction parameter.
Changing a storage system configuration
When changing the configuration while refreshing information about an XP or P9500 storage system,
the KAIC05000-E error might appear. If this occurs, retry the configuration changes.
Email notification settings
To send alerts by email, change the Device Manager server configuration as follows:
1. If SMTP authentication is enabled, use the hdvmmodmailuser command to register an SMTP
authentication user account in Device Manager.
2. If necessary, customize the email template.
3. Stop and then restart the Command View Advanced Edition Suite product services.

Addresses are assigned
If the Device Manager server is installed on a Linux server with 33 or more IP addresses assigned,
you cannot log on Device Manager.
