Enhancements made in 7.1.0-01 None Fixes Corrections made in 7.1.
• If the CIM/WBEM function was used to acquire ObjectPath for the following classes, property values were invalid: ◦ InstanceID of HITACHI_AuthorizedPrivilege ◦ InstanceID of HITACHI_StorageHardwareID ◦ SystemName of HITACHI_StorageVolume • If a THP volume in a P9500 storage system was expanded, a subscription limit excess error (KAIC7533-E) might occur, even though the specified pool subscription did not exceed the subscription limit.
Names column in the Host window of Device Manager GUI to confirm the WWN of the virtual machine. Replication Manager: The Replication Manager command device configuration function cannot be used to set a volume as a command device if the volume has been allocated for a virtual machine. 1. Use P9000 Remote Web Console to set the volume as a command device. 2. Use P9000 Remote Web Console to add the command device in step 1 to a VMware host group, and ensure that a path is set for the command device. 3.
• The installation/uninstallation of Host Data Collector on a non-system drive creates a temp folder on that drive. You can delete the folder. • If the environment variable tmp in Windows includes characters other than the following, installation fails: A-Z a-z 0-9 space ._() ~@#$^&()_+{}`-=[]',ó Change the tmp path to use the above characters. • When Host Data Collector is installed on a SUSE Linux server, Host Data Collector does not start automatically after the operating system is rebooted.
This issue occurs when either of the following conditions is met: • A resource for which the user does not have the view permission is specified for the saved search criteria. • Resources have been deleted from the saved search criteria. Do not save search conditions containing a resource that a user cannot view. File systems that cannot handle files larger than 2 GB Command View Advanced Edition database must be installed in a file system that can handle files larger than 2 GB.
4. Import the database. 1. Execute the hcmdsdbtrans command to import the databases: \Component\bin\hcmdsdbtrans /import /workpath /file /type ALL /auto 2. Specify true for the server.base.initialsynchro property on the Device Manager server. Other than user information, the hcmdsdbtrans command does not migrate the Common Component repository.
The number of client windows that can be used at one time The maximum number of clients that can connect to Device Manager at one time is seven. If eight or more clients connect to Device Manager at one time, they might be forcibly logged out. If this occurs, wait a few minutes, and then log in again.
This issue occurs when all of the following conditions are met: • No Replication Manager license is registered, and Replication Manager is started from Device Manager. • From the Pair Configurations view (accessible by Explorer→Resources→Pair Configurations, the Copy Pair Summary is viewed (accessible by selecting Pair Configurations→Pair Management Servers→Config Files→Copy Groups. • Copy pairs that cannot be viewed are in the copy group selected in the previous issue.
Registering Linux, Solaris, AIX and HP-UX hosts through Host Data Collector The error message does not display correctly if the system locale on the target host is set to a non-English language and the character encoding is not UTF-8. Registering hosts of HP-UX 11iv2 (IPF and PA-RISC) and 11iv3 (PA-RISC) by using Host Data Collector Registering or refreshing hosts of HP-UX 11iv2 (IPF and PA-RISC) and 11iv3 (PA-RISC) times out if a stale NFS mount exists on the target host.
• Search Results for THP Pools: Subscription • Parity Groups: Parity Group • Parity Groups: RAID Level • Parity Groups: No. of Volumes • Available Parity Groups: No.
The Total Capacity column cannot be sorted or filtered in the following lists: • Main window ◦ • Allocate Volumes dialog box, Create Volumes dialog box, and Virtualize Volumes dialog box ◦ • • Parity groups list Select Parity Group list Create Pool dialog box and Expand Pool dialog box ◦ Add Parity Groups list ◦ Additional Parity Groups list Create Resource Group dialog box and Edit Resource Group dialog box ◦ List on Parity Groups tab In addition, the No.
• If a Windows host belongs to a Windows domain, use Windows Service Management to register the Windows host. • When WMI protocol is used for registering hosts of Windows target host, use the Administrator account. Host Data Collector cannot obtain host information in the following cases: • The target host has multipath iSCSI volumes. • In the HP-UX host, a logical volume name includes any of the following characters: @#$%^&*()_+{}|:"<>?`-=[]\;',.
Warning banner settings When you create warning banner messages using the hcmdsbanner command, only the following HTML tags can be used for warning banners:
Creating and allocating volumes The following items cannot be filtered in the Select THP Pool dialog box: • Used Capacity • Subscription Allocate Volumes dialog box and Unallocate Volumes dialOperation not complete after logging in to GUI When the operation is not complete 30 minutes after logging in to the GUI, the following error might be displayed. The session is not valid. You must log in again. KAIC16009-E If this occurs, log in again. Edit LUN Paths dialog box The Status column of Path Information displays Waiting or blank in the Task Details dialog box of Edit LUN Paths. Task dialog box When the Allocate Volumes dialog box is launched with 30 or more hosts, it might not be updated.
Reduce the number of IP addresses assigned to the server. Switching the JDK To use Oracle Sun JDK 5 (1.5.0) or Oracle Sun JDK 6 (1.6.0) instead of the bundled one, add its java.exe to the Windows Firewall exceptions list manually if the Windows Firewall is enabled.
Executing tasks If an operation (such as the user is locked, the user's permissions are changed, or the user is deleted) is performed to the user who registers a task, the task execution is not cancelled. Likewise, even if the user group to which the user belongs or authorized resource groups are changed, the task execution is still not cancelled. Check the status of all tasks, and then cancel the task manually. If the task is not cancelled, the task might not execute.
Subtarget parameter of GetLogicalGroup command by CLI In the GetLogicalGroup command, only Path is valid for the subtarget parameter. Host and HostStorageDomain are invalid for the parameter. To confirm hosts contained in logical groups, use the GUI.
Adding a host that has multiple IP addresses by Host Data Collector When adding a host with multiple IP addresses to the Device Manager server, the first IP address registered in the Device Manager server is added to the host. At this time, error messages are displayed for IP addresses other than the first one. Ignore the error messages. The unallocate volumes dialog box If the target volume is deleted during the unallocate volume operation, the KAIC43001-E message might appear.
2. To set the clock back, wait until the actual clock time catches up to the computer clock time, and then restart the computer. When using the Device Manager server in a time zone within the United States or Canada, set the operating system of the computer on which the Device Manager server will be installed so that the operating system is compatible with the new Daylight Saving Time (DST) rules.
Symbolic links (UNIX) Ensure that the symbolic links indicated in the following table are not set. If any are set, installation might not be successful.
About adding virtualization servers The Add Virtualization Server - Completed dialog box is not displayed correctly if the name of a host in the virtualization server list does not use any of the following characters: A - Z, a - z, 0 - 9, !, #, $, %, &, ', (, ), +, -, ., =, @, [, ], ^, _, {, }, or ~.
2. Execute the command line chcp 1252 in the command prompt.
