KAIC05607-E error occurs during change to storage system configuration
If the KAIC05607-E error occurs during a Device Manager GUI or CLI operation to change a storage
system configuration, some of the configuration changes may be applied to the storage system. Refresh
the storage system information and check the current storage system configuration. Then, proceed with
the configuration changes by using the Device Manager GUI, CLI, or Element Manager.
Installing Device Manager agent in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 (x64)
In Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 (x64), installation of the Device Manager agent fails if
glibc-<RPM-package-version>.i686.rpm is not installed on the target machine. (When a
silent installation of the Device Manager agent is performed, the output return code is 144.)
If this occurs, reinstall the Device Manager agent after the package is installed.
HCS Device Manager Web Service Port 23025 port conflict prevents service from
starting and creates an error
Port number 23025, which is required for HCS Device Manager Web Service, might be used by
another process. This depends on the system on which Device Manager installed because port number
23025 is in the range of ports that the operating system allocates dynamically.
If this occurs, add the port number 23025 to the services file managed by the operating system.
For Windows:
%windir%\system32\drivers\etc\services
For Linux:
/etc/services
