HP P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Software Update 7.1.0-01 Release Notes (TB581-96073, June 2011)

Unallocating volumes when using Device Manager GUI
When using the Device Manager GUI, only volumes that are allocated to a specific WWN cannot
be unallocated from a host group. Therefore, if volumes that belong to the same host group are
unallocated in an environment (such as a cluster environment), volumes allocated to the WWNs (both
the active node and the standby nodes for a cluster environment) of all hosts that belong to the same
host group are also unallocated.
Use either of the following tools to unallocate only volumes that are allocated to a specific WWN in
a host group:
P9000 or XP Remote Web Console
DeleteWWNForHostStorageDomain CLI command
Task dialog box
When the Allocate Volumes dialog box is launched with 30 or more hosts, it may not be updated. If
this occurs, refresh the task dialog box.
Sorting and filtering using No. of Paths in volume list
The No. of Paths column cannot be used for sorting and filtering the volumes table. To determine
volumes based on No. of Paths, use the WWN column instead for sorting and filtering.
Created volumes capacity
When you allocate or create volumes and you do not use whole numbers to specify the capacity, the
volumes might not be created with the specified capacity. If this occurs, delete the created volumes,
and then allocate or create volumes again by specifying the block.
Dialog box operation
When a dialog box is opened and closed continuously, the KAIC16009-E or KAIC9999-E error might
be displayed in a browser. If this occurs, restart the browser and re-execute the operation.
Automatic screen refresh
Even if information displayed on the screen changes during task execution, it might not update
automatically. If this occurs, refresh the screen manually.
Displaying help screen in Data Collection Task Detail dialog box
The Help screen (About data collection tasks) does not appear when you click the Help button in the
Data Collection Task Detail dialog box.
Edit LUN Paths dialog box
When you use the Edit LUN Paths dialog box to add paths to volumes that are already allocated to
multiple hosts, errors might occur after you register the task, and a different set of errors might occur
when you execute the task.
When a path is added to volumes allocated to multiple hosts, do the following:
1. Launch the Allocate Volumes dialog by selecting all hosts to which the target volumes are allocated.
2. Select the target volumes manually.
3. Select a path to be added.
4. Register the task.
