TL user interface.

Corrupt alerts will not display in Command View for Tape Libraries due to a parsing
error
Symptom: If a corrupt alert is logged into Interface Manager alerts then Command View for Tape
Libraries will not be able to parse the alert log.
Workaround: Save the current configuration, reset to the default, then restore the saved configuration.
Alternatively, contact HP Service & Support and ask that the Clean Alerts bundle be installed.

The EML E-Series Tape Library broadcast address must be 0.0.0.0; otherwise, it can
cause undesired network traffic on the external network
Symptom: The broadcast address for ethernet 0 on the Interface Manager on an EML E-Series Tape
Library, if different from 0.0.0.0, may cause undesired network traffic. In this case, the IP address for
the EML library was set to 10.X.X.X (Class A network) with subnet mask 255.255.255.0; however,
the broadcast address was set to 10.255.255.255, which will result in broadcasting the whole
10.X.X.X network.
Workaround: Contact HP Service & Support and ask that the Fix Broadcast Address firmware bundle
be installed using SAW article c01675969 if at i172 or lower. For i273 and above the Fix Broadcast
Address firmware bundle was included in the build.
1. Telnet to the IM as cliadmin and <cliadmin password>.
2. Enter cpe. The following lines will display:
Bundle ID: 2454873.09444
Description: This bundle will ensure that the correct broadcast address
has been applied to the network information managed object.
Enter bundle number to run or 'q' to quit:
3. Type 2454873.09444 and press Enter.
The bundle will indicate to the user if the operation was successful. If so, it instructs the user to
reboot the IM.
4. Type reboot mgmt.

Command View for Tape Libraries reports failure while disabling encryption with a
Secure Key Manager (SKM)
Symptom: An error is reported when removing a library from SKM key management, this can potentially
leave LTO drives in encryption mode.
Workaround: To clear this configuration the user will need to re-enroll the library for SKM encryption
key management and verify the library is in a green state. Then, rerun the Encryption Wizard to switch
to Backup Software key management.
1. Reboot the Interface Manager card using the command line interface or Command View TL user
interface.
2. Run the Command View Encryption Key Management wizard and set it back to HP StorageWorks
Secure Key Manager.
3. Run the Command View Encryption Key Management wizard again and select Backup Software.
This will clearly configure all the drives to non-encryption mode.
