Minimum requirements
For environments with fewer than 10 tape libraries, Command View TL requires a management station
(server) with a minimum of:
1.6-GHz CPU, 2-GB RAM
2 GB of free disk space for installation
10/100 Base-T network card (static IP address recommended)
Compatible with VMWare ESX 5.0
Recommended system
For environments with up to 20 tape libraries:
3.0-GHz CPU or greater, Dual Core, 4-GB RAM
For environments with 20 to 70 tape libraries:
3.0-GHz CPU or greater, Dual Core, 16-GB RAM
For environments with more than 70 tape libraries, or more than 900 tape drives (total), multiple
management stations will be required.

Based on the SMI-S 1.4 specifications.
Supports Server Profile, Storage Library Profile, Software SubProfile, Access Point SubProfile,
Limited Access Ports SubProfile, FC Target Ports SubProfile, Location SubProfile, Physical Package
Profile, and InterOp NameSpace interoperability. Tape Provider NameSpace is root/hptl.
The pegasus cimom service is displayed as Pegasus CIM Object Manager in the Windows Service
Control Manager. Tape Provider plugs-in to the CIMOM and is not shown as the separate service.
The CIMOM users must be created using cimuser and cimauth command . Refer to the HP
Command View for Tape Libraries SMI-S Provider Installation Instructions for more details.
Interface Manager is modeled as the CIM_ComputerSystem to access the IP address of the Interface
Manager card.
For a library with I1XX IM firmware, an operational status change for a library object generates
an alert. For a library with I2XX IM firmware, an operational status change to the Heath Summary
or a change to the library settings generates an alert. TapeAssure events also result in an alert.
CIMOM 3
