In CVTL, the Library TapeAssure feature support is available for ESL G3 library for the stated firmware versions of ESL G3
Tape Library 663H or later with MCB version 2.0.
For the latest FW versions supported, refer to the HP Enterprise Backup Solutions (EBS) matrix located
at: http://www.hp.com/go/ebs.
Incompatibility with Secure Key Manager 1.0 (4.7.1)
This package is NOT compatible with HP Secure Key Manager code version 1.0 (also known as
4.7.1). If you are using a Secure Key Manager appliance for storage security, code version 1.1 (also
known as 4.8.1) is required.
Command View TL Database Compatibility
From CVTL 3.0.00 and higher, using the Save/restore Database in TapeAssure and restoring the
database backup taken from older versions of Command View TL is not supported.
Command View TL upgrade support
NOTE: Upgrading to Command View TL 3.7.01 patch is only supported from version 3.7.00.

Command View TL 3.7.01 patch installation support
CVTL 3.7.01 patch installation is supported only on 3.7.00. If your current CVTL software is older
than 3.7.00, then upgrade to version 3.7.00 before upgrading to the 3.7.01 patch.
For upgrading CVTL from older revisions, the upgrade sequence must be
2.8.00→3.5.00→3.6.00→3.7.00→3.7.01.
No downgrades are required. Use the respective release notes for installation instructions.
Command View TL 3.7.01 patch installation instructions
Perform the following steps to install the CVTL 3.7.01 patch:
1. Download the cvtl_3_7_01.zip file to a local machine where CVTL 3.7.00 is installed.
2. Close all open browsers and applications.
3. Extract the cvtl_3_7_01.zip file at any location except where CVTL 3.7.00 is installed.
The following files are available in the extracted location:
• lto_pdv_new_data_at.pmg
• lto_dat.pmg
• InstallCVTLPatch.bat
• UninstallCVTLPatch.bat
• README.txt
4. Double-click the InstallCVTLPatch.bat file in the extracted location.
It takes few minutes to install the patch files. Command prompt windows open and close.
