Description
This document describes enhancements and fixes for HP CVTL (Command View for Tape Libraries)
3.7.00 running with the 3.7.01 patch and Interface Manager firmware version I274. HP SMI-S Tape
Provider runs in the background on CVTL.
When executing Data Verification or Drive Assessment tests, the following message is displayed:
Test has reported Pass and Incomplete (The test requires a tape to be
loaded prior to it being run. Please load the tape to be verified and
re-run the test).
To resolve this issue, install the HP CVTL 3.7.01 patch.
For Data Verification feature to function with the HP StoreEver ESL G3 tape library, use the following
versions together:
• HP StoreEver ESL G3 Tape Library: 671H_GS00601 or later - MCB version 2
• HP Command View TL: 3.7.00 installed with a 3.7.01 patch
• HP LTO-6 drives: J3HW
• HP LTO-5 drives: I68W

Mandatory for customers using Data Verification feature in CVTL 3.7.00 with ESL G3 Tape Libraries.
