The default CVTL installation locations are:
• On a 32-bit machine — C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\Command View TL
• On a 64-bit machine — C:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\Command

NOTE: You can ignore the error messages shown in the command prompt.
5. Exit the patch installation by pressing the Enter key when you get a confirmation message stating
successful installation completion.
6. Verify the following:
• A backup folder BKP_CVTL_3_7_00 is created at CVTL_INSTALL_DIR\
DataVerification\eLTT\scripts\test. This folder contains the backup files
lto_pdv_new_data_at.pmg and lto_dat.pmg for version 3.7.00. If necessary, you
can use these files during uninstallation to restore to version 3.7.00.
• A log file CVTL_3_7_01.log is generated in the extracted location.
You can check the log file to see the detailed patch execution logs.
7. Navigate to the Registry Key in the respective operating systems and check the CVTL_Version.
• Windows 2003 — HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Hewlett-Packard\Command
View TL or
• Windows 2008 R2/Windows 2012 — HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\

After successful installation, the CVTL_Version upgrades to 3.7.01 patch.
Restoring to CVTL 3.7.00 from 3.7.01 patch
Perform the following steps to restore CVTL from 3.7.01 patch to 3.7.00:
1. Locate the UninstallCVTLPatch.bat file in the extracted location.
2. Double-click the UninstallCVTLPatch.bat file.
It takes few minutes to restore the changes from 3.7.01 to 3.7.00.
3. Exit the patch uninstallation by pressing the Enter key when you get a confirmation message
stating successful uninstallation completion.
4. Verify the following in the CVTL_INSTALL_DIR\DataVerification\eLTT\scripts\test
location:
• Backup folder BKP_CVTL_3_7_00 is removed.
• The lto_pdv_new_data_at.pmg and lto_dat.pmg files are reverted to their previous
versions.
• A log file CVTL_3_7_01.log is generated in the extracted location.
You can check the log file to see the detailed patch execution logs.
5. Navigate to the Registry Key in the respective operating systems and check the CVTL_Version.

View TL or

After successful uninstallation, the CVTL_Version reverts to 3.7.00.
