Installing firmware on Windows and Linux systems
To install the CNA firmware/BIOS using QConvergeConsole:
1. Before you begin, make sure you have installed the following :
• QConvergeConsole
• The network driver
• The FCoE driver
• Firmware image is available on your QConvergeConsole server

Installing multipathing software
This section describes how to download and install the multipathing software.
Downloading and installing the Windows multipathing software
To download and install the Windows MPIO DSM:
1. Go to http://www.hp.com/go/support.
2. Click Download drivers and software (and firmware).
3. Enter MPIO DSM into the for product box.
4. Select the MPIO DSM for your arrays and operating system version to download it to your
server.
5. From the downloaded zip file, install the Windows MPIO DSM package.
Using multipathing software on Linux
If multiple-path redundancy is required, after installing the operating system, see the Native Linux
Device-Mapper Multipath for HP StorageWorks Arrays Reference Guide on the SPOCK website
at http://www.hp.com/storage/spock. It is necessary to sign up for HP Passport to enable access.
