2.11 Back-end improvements
• Improved parallelization in cmu_scan_macs for ILOCM (Moonshot systems).
• /opt/cmu/tmp is cleaned on service (re)start.
• When the webservice cannot start because the port is busy, a message appears on the HP
Insight CMU status page.
• Reimplemented Intel MIC monitoring with the new API.
2.12 cmudsh and cmudiff improvements
cmudsh (convenient tool to broadcast commands to HP Insight CMU compute nodes and parse
the output with cmudiff) and cmudiff are improved and contain bug fixes for this release:
• The cmudiff header report no longer crops the error nodes list.
• Implementation of CMU_DIFF_TMP_DIR to select landing zone of replay files.
• Improved speed of the matching engine (overlapping pdsh and cmudiff processing).
• Improved matching quality. The 'good enough match' algorithm is replaced by a 'best match'
algorithm.
• Improved matching speed. Always tries a 'perfect match' algorithm to speed up easy cases.
• Perfectly handle void outputs and make a difference with compute nodes not answering data
because of a problem (e.g. ssh timeout, permission denied, etc.).
• Implement support for exit codes in footer with a dedicated exit code for non-answering nodes.
• Avoid contacting compute nodes known to be off by HP Insight CMU to expedite report
generation.
• Reorder engine no longer requires a window-size parameter (-R reorders on entire file).
• Reorder engine warns users that at least one line was reordered.
• Avoid some race conditions when data is published both on the stdout and stderr of compute
nodes.
• A command run with pipes such as ps auxww | grep xxx runs only one instance of grep
on the management node.
• A few asserts in rare conditions are fixed.
2.13 autoinstall engine improvements
• HP Insight CMU now provides autoinstall templates in /opt/cmu/templates/autoinstall
for RHEL6, Sles11, Ubuntu. and Windows. (Windows is only available on specific Moonshot
cartridges.)
• The autoinstall keyword list is expanded. For a complete list, see /opt/cmu/etc/
cmuserver.conf.
