Connecting a Serial Console
8 In the event that you wish to connect a
serial console to administer your server, you
may use either of the RJ-45 serial ports. If
you use the rear panel RJ-45 port, connect
the adapter provided with your server
between the server and the RS-232 cable. If
you use the front panel RJ-45 port, you must
make an adapter to interface with the RJ-45
connector. (Refer to RJ-45 Serial Port (Front
