Tip #2: Change in SQL Server 2005 default setup affects HP SIM installation

During installation of HP SIM 5.2 with SQL Server 2005 it is possible that you may receive an error message stating that “The

specified database account credentials are not valid.” This occurs because SQL Server 2005 (unlike SQL 2000) does not

automatically enable the SQL Browser. If you receive the error, first make sure that you are in fact using valid credentials, and if

so, go on to check that the SQL Browser is operational and is set to start automatically (Figure 7-3).
