Clock Commands
sntp authenticate
The sntp authenticate Global Configuration mode command grants authentication for received
Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) traffic from servers. To disable the feature, use the no
form of this command.
Syntax
sntp authenticate
no sntp authenticate
Parameters
There are no parameters for this command.
Default Setting
No authentication

Command Usage
The command is relevant for both unicast and broadcast.
Example
The following command defines the authentication key for SNTP and grants authentication.
Console(config)# sntp authentication-key 8 md5 ClkKey
Console(config)# sntp trusted-key 8
