Ethernet Configuration Commands
flowcontrol
The flowcontrol Interface Configuration (Ethernet, port-channel) mode command configures
flow control on a given interface. To disable flow control, use the no
form of this command.
Syntax
flowcontrol {auto | on | off}
no flowcontrol
Parameters
n auto — Indicates auto-negotiation
n on — Enables flow control.
n off — Disables flow control.
Default Setting
Flow control is off.
Command Mode
Interface Configuration (Ethernet, port-channel) mode
Command Usage
Negotiation should be enabled for flowcontrol auto.
Example
In the following example, flow control is enabled on port e42.
Console(config)# interface ethernet e42
Console(config-if)# flowcontrol on
