HP SAM SQL Database Server Software Requirements
Minimum:
One of the following must be installed:

Microsoft SQL Server 2000 with Service Pack 3
●
Microsoft SQL Server 2005
HP recommends using Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or 2005 Standard Edition. However, if you use
Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine (MSDE) 2000 or SQL Server 2005 Express Edition, which both
have a 4-GB database size limit, you should either:

Disable history data and/or log collection
●
Limit the number of days the system retains history data and/or log collection
NOTE: SQL server mixed mode authentication must be enabled.
