AAA Commands
login authentication
The login authentication Line Configuration mode command specifies the login authentication
method list for a remote telnet or console. To return to the default configuration specified by the
aaa authentication login
command, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
login authentication {default | list-name}
no login authentication
Parameters
n default — Uses the default list created with the aaa authentication login command.
n list-name — Uses the indicated list created with the aaa authentication login command.
Default Setting
Uses the default set with the command aaa authentication login.

Command Usage
Changing login authentication from default to another value may disconnect the telnet session.
Example
The following command specifies the default authentication method for a console.
Console(config)# line console
Console(config-line)# login authentication default
