HP StorageWorks B-Series Remote Replication Solution Best Practices Guide (5697-6731, June 2007)

-r retransmissions
Species the ma ximum retransmissions. Retransmissions
values are 1 to 8; default is 8. If tape pipelining is
enabled, the de
fault value is calculated based on the
minimum retra
nsmit time to ensure that tcp connection
does not timeo
ut before the host times out. If the user
changesthisv
alue, the value specied must be greater
than the calc
ulated value.
-s
Disables sel
ective acknowledgement c ode (SAC K) on
the tunnel specied.
-t
Enables tape pipelining on the tunnel specied (requires
fastwrite t
o be turned on). This argument cannot be used
together wi
th -ike, -ipsec or -key (IPSec).
NOTE:
Only a single IPSec-enabled tunnel can be
congured on a port. No other tunnels (IPSec
or otherwise) can be congured on the same
port. Jumbo frames will not b e supported
on secure
tunnels. Only a single route is
supporte
donaninterfacewithasecure
tunnel.
Arguments
modify tu
nnel_id
Modies t
he properties of the existing FCIP tunnel. This
will disrupt the trafc on the FCIP tunnel specied for a
brief period of time. If the FCI P tunnel has IPSec enabled,
it cannot be modied. To change it, you must delete it
and recreate it.
Optional
Arguments
-b comm_rate
Species the desired com m itted rate for the existing
tunnel.
-c 0|1
Disable (0) or Enable (1) compression on the existing
tunnel.
-f 0|1
Disable (0) or Enable (1) fastwrite on the existing tunnel.
-k timeout
Species the keep alive timeout, in seconds, for the
existing tunnel. timeout values are 8 to 7,200; default is
10. If tape pipelining is enabled, the minimum value
is 80.
-m time
Species the minimum retransmit time, in milliseconds,
for the existing tunnel. time values are 20 to 5,000;
default is 100.
-r retransmissions
Species the maximum retransmission for the existing
tunnel. retransmission values are 1 to 16; default is 8. If
tape pipelining is enabled, the default value is calculated
based on the minimum retransmit time to ensure that tcp
connecti on does not timeout before the host times out. If
the user changes this value, the value specied must be
greater than the calculated value.
