HP StorageWorks B-Series Remote Replication Solution Best Practices Guide (5697-6731, June 2007)

Species the display/ refresh interval in seconds.
Default: 30 sec
-p port
Species the TCP port number for the listener end-point.
Default: 3227
-t running_time
Species how lo
ng to run the test, in seconds. Default:
run forever
-z size
Species the default packet size in bytes. Default: 64
bytes
Examples
1. To verify if p
ackets can be sent to the destination I P address, enter:
portcmd --ping 4/ge0 -s 192.168.100.50 -d 192.168.100 .40
2. To prepare the Remote B-Series router GbE port to receive (sink), enter:
portcmd --ip
perf ge0 –s 192.168.100.40 –d 192.168.100.50 –R
3. To execute t
he W ANTOOLS procedure from the Local B-Series Router GbE port to the Remote
GbE port, collect data for a period of 60 seconds, and sample at an interval of 5 seconds, enter:
p o r t c m d - - i p p e r f g e 0 s 19 2 .16 8 .10 0 . 4 0 d 19 2 .16 8 .10 0 . 5 0 S i 5 t 6 0
NOTE:
1.
In the above examples, the source and destination IP addresses are specied in the context of
wher e the command is executed. When connected via a telnet session to the local site router, the
source (-s
) is the IP address of the interface of the local router a nd the destination (-d)isthe
FCIP interface address on the remote router.
2.
There are optional parameters for the -ipperf command that can be used to further characterize
the link a
nd test other IP ports. Only a sampling of simple usage are shown.
CLI syntax:
portshow
fciptunnel
To view the performance statistics and monitor the behavior of an online F CIP tunnel:
Usage
portshow fciptunnel [slot/]geport args
[optional_args]
Arguments
all | tunnel_id
Shows all or tunnel_id FCIP tunnels on this G bE
port
Optional arguments
-perf
Shows additional performance information
-params
Shows conne ction parameter information
Examples
Executing por tshow fciptunnel 8/g e 0 0 per f displays the following output:
