Configuring FCIP on the HP StorageWorks 400 M P Router/MP

Use the Web Tools interface to configure the FCIP connection between two geographically
separate sites on a Wide Area Network (WAN). You ca n also use the com-
mand line i
nterface with either direct console (serial) connection to the switch or through telnet sessions (see
Configuri

endix.) Refer to the FOS 5.1.x (or later) administrator’s guide for additional information.
NOTE:
It is assumed that the initial switch configuration setup steps a re done, including the definition of Switch
Name, IP/Subnet/Gateway (for switch management), Switch Domain ID, Time Zone, Date/Time, and so
forthforallswitchesanddirectorsinboththelocalandremotefabrics.Seethe

Follow these steps to configure FCIP on the B-Series 400 MP router.
1. Start a browser.
2. In the a ddress a rea, enter the IP address of the 400 MP Router to configure.
The switch login applet launches.
3. Enter the username and password.
The Web Tools interface displays.
4. Click ge0 on the GigE port.
The Port Administration Services window displays.
