HP Application Recovery Manager software Integration guide (March 2008)
Figure 11 Selecting a replicated Microsoft Exchange Server 2007
storage group
In a CCR environment, you can select a cluster node from where you want your
backup to be performed, regardless of which instance (Information Store or Replication
Service) resides on this node. If you select the cluster node, Application Recovery
Manager backs up any available instance on this node ignoring the selection of the
instance in the GUI even if you, for example, select the replicated storage group
(Exchange Replication Service) as backup object.
To specify the cluster node from where you want to perform backup of any instance
residing on this node, right-click an Exchange writer and select the node in the
additional options dialog box under Back up any available instance from node. See
Figure 11 on page 57.
When backing up Replication Service instance, it may happen that it cannot be
backed up due to the following reasons:
• The selected node is not available.
• The status of the storage group to be backed up is not "Healthy".
• Application Recovery Manager is not running on the selected node.
