HP Application Recovery Manager software Integration guide (March 2008)

NOTE:
The copies of log and control files in the temporary directory, created in different instant
recovery sessions, are preserved. Each copy has got a time stamp. Let us assume that
an instant recovery session fails in such a way that the copy of the current control files
is not returned to the original location if the restore session is not successful. It means
that the current control files have been replaced with the control files from the replica. If
you want to have your latest control files on the original location, copy them manually
from the temporary directory. File names on the temporary location are coded. Use the
command cf_ol_util.pl -decode filename to decode the file name and
recognize each file name.
