8. Set the backup options.
Offline backup: To perform an offline backup, in the Application Specific Options
dialog box, select the Backup offline option. This option stops the database
before creating a replica, and restarts it after the replica is created.

TIP:
In the Post-exec option, you can specify the script that can be run after the
backup session on the application system. You can use a script which can
perform backup of the control file and archive logs using third–party backup
software or an RMAN backup script. Note that you need a control file and
archive logs for the database recovery.
For information on other the Backup Specification Options and Common
Application Options, press F1.
TIP:
In the Backup Specification Options, General page, Post-exec option, you
can specify the script that can be run after the backup session on the client
that you specify in the On client option. You can use a script which can
perform backup of the replicated datafiles from the disk array on the backup
system to tape using third–party backup software or an RMAN backup
script.
