Configuring automatic startup and shutdown
The Application Recovery Manager installation procedure configures an automatic
startup and shutdown of all Application Recovery Manager processes whenever a
system is restarted. Some of this configuration is operating system dependent.
The following files are automatically configured:
/sbin/init.d/omni
A script with startup and shutdown procedures.
/sbin/rc1.d/K162omni
A link to the /sbin/init.d/omni script that shuts down Application Recovery
Manager.
/sbin/rc2.d/S838omni
A link to the /sbin/init.d/omni script that starts up Application Recovery
Manager.
/etc/rc.config.d/omni
Contains an omni variable defining:
omni=1 Application Recovery Manager is automatically stopped and started
at system reboot. This is the default option.
omni=0 Application Recovery Manager is not automatically stopped and
started at system reboot.
During the installation, the following system files on the Cell Manager system are
modified:
/etc/services
The Application Recovery Manager port number for the service is added to the
file.
/opt/omni/lbin/crs
The Application Recovery Manager CRS service is added.
