4. In Application system, select the SAP R/3 client to be backed up. In cluster
environments, select the virtual server.
In Backup system, select the backup system.
Specify other disk array specific backup options (see Figure 46 for XP or
Figure 45 for EVA). For details on the options, press F1.
NOTE:
To enable instant recovery, leave Track the replica for instant recovery
selected. In this case, you must back up the whole database. To enable
streaming of only specific datafiles and tablespaces to tape using a
third–party backint, clear this option. Note that restore using Application
Recovery Manager will not be possible if this option is cleared.
NOTE:
On the backup system, the same mount points are used as on the application
system, regardless of whether the option
Use the same mountpoints as on the application system is ON or OFF.
Also the options Root of the mount path on the backup system and
Create the mount path with the attributes are not applicable.
If the mount points on the backup system are already in use (for example,
they may be in use by a previous session), the session will fail. You can set
the option
Automatically dismount the filesystems at destination mountpoints ON
to prevent this.
