Installing the QConvergeConsole application on Windows
To Install QConvergeConsole on Windows:
1. Obtain the latest QConvergeConsole Smart Component for your configuration and copy it to
your Windows server..
For downloading instructions, see “Downloading the QConvergeConsole kits and agents
(page 16)
2. Unzip the Smart Component.
3. Double-click the network Smart Component executable to begin the installation, and then click
Install.
The Smart Component automatically installs the QConvergeConsole software. When the
installation is completed, click Finish.
Installing the QConvergeConsole application on Linux
To install QConvergeConsole on Linux:
1. Download the QConvergeConsole kit for your distribution.
For downloading instructions, see “Downloading the QConvergeConsole kits and agents
(page 16).
2. Unzip and install the resulting RPM or .bin package.
Installing drivers on Windows or Linux
This section describes how to download and install drivers for Windows and Linux.
Downloading the Windows Smart Component or Linux driver kit
To locate and download the driver kit:
1. Go to http://www.hp.com/go/support.
2. Click Download drivers and software (and firmware).
3. Using the HP model number as your guide, enter the CNA model number in the for product
box.
4. Select your operating system.
5. Select the Windows Smart Component or Linux driver kit and download it to your server.
Installing the Windows drivers
NOTE: While performing a Boot from SAN installation, for FCoE driver installation instructions
see the Fibre Channel over Ethernet chapter in theHP SAN Design Reference Guide at http://
www.hp.com/go/sdgmanuals for FCoE driver installation instructions. Then, return to this section
to complete the Windows NIC driver installation, as well as other software.
To install the Windows drivers:
1. Obtain the latest Windows driver Smart Component kit for your configuration and copy it to
your Windows server.
2. Unzip the Smart Component kit.
NOTE: The kit contains two Smart Components. One is the network driver. The other is the
FCoE driver. Both are required for proper operation of this product.
3. Double-click the network Smart Component executable, and then click Install.
The Smart Component automatically installs the network driver without user intervention. When
the installation is finished, click Finish.
