Configuring Flex Ports

All flex ports are configured at the factory as Fibre Channel

transparent fabric ports (TF_Port). Furthermore, each internal

TH_Port is mapped to every flex port. To reconfigure a port as a

converged enhanced Ethernet port (PT_Port), you must remove the

mapping for the selected port and change the corresponding

internal port type to PT_Port also.

For PT_Port operation, ports are paired as follows:

• Ext1:0 and Int1:4

• Ext2:1 and Int2:5

• Ext3:2 and Int3:6

• Ext4:3 and Int4:7

Furthermore, when you convert a TF_Port and its mapped TH_Port

to PT_Ports, you may have to reconfigure the corresponding

S5820X Switch internal port parameters. For information about

reconfiguring switch ports, refer to the H3C LSW1FC4P0 Release

Notes.

In QuickTools, do the following:

1. Select Port>Map Ports in the faceplate display to open the Map

Ports dialog box.

2. Clear the mapping in Int1:4, Int2:5, Int3:6, and Int4:7 for the flex

port and click OK.

3. Select the flex port in the faceplate display.

4. Select Port>Port Properties to open the Port Properties dialog

box.

5. Select PT_Port from the Configured Type drop-down list and

click OK.

6. A dialog box advises you to change the port type for the

corresponding internal port. Click OK.
