Enhancements
HP D2600 and D2700 Disk Enclosures can be connected to the 6Gb SAS BL Switch.
HP 600 Modular Disk Systems (MDS600) can be connected to the 6Gb SAS BL Switch.
When creating zone groups, drive information, such as capacity, RPM, and link rate, is displayed.
Port splitting allows up to four tape devices to attach to a single 6Gb SAS BL Switch port (special
cable required.)
Added full SNMP support for the 6Gb SAS BL Switch and attached storage enclosures.
Detailed diagnostic information for MDS600 and D2600/D2700 events is included in the event
log and diagnostic log.
Firmware can be installed on both switches at the same time.
Both switches can be reset at the same time (during a system maintenance window).
Certain mis-cabling between storage enclosures and switches is identified and communicated to
the user in the Virtual SAS Manager (VSM) application.
If a task cannot be performed, explanatory messages are displayed.
Configuration information can be replicated from a failed storage enclosure on to its replacement.
The Unit ID (UID) on MDS600 and D2600/D2700 storage enclosures can be turned off or on.
Improved the firmware update and hardware reset processes for attached MDS600 and
D2600/D2700 storage enclosures; only the server blades that map to the enclosures being
updated or reset must be shut down.
