Version: 2.0.1.0 Description The HP 6Gb SAS BL Switch is a single-wide interconnect module for HP BladeSystem c-Class enclosures that enables a server blade with an HP Smart Array P711m/P712m SAS controller to communicate with external SAS storage enclosures and tape devices. The 6Gb SAS BL Switch is fully supported in the HP c-Class BladeSystem enclosure infrastructure and is compatible with any combination of HP c-Class BladeSystem server blades. Be sure to obtain the .img firmware file; Smart Component firmware updating methods are not used when updating firmware using the VSM. From the workstation with access to both the firmware file and the BladeSystem c-Class enclosure, access the VSM for the switch. Click the refresh icon to ensure that you are viewing the most recent status information.
NOTE: By default, the Update both Active and Passive switches is selected. HP strongly recommends accepting this default, so that the chance of a firmware mis-match is reduced. 6.
