HP ProCurve Series 6120 Blade Switches Advanced Traffic Management Guide

Converged Enhanced Ethernet on the HP ProCurve 6120XG Switch
FIP Snooping
The ProCurve switch supports only four FC Fabrics. By default there is one
default FC-MAP support. This FC-MAP configuration is also user editable. If
global FIP Snooping is already enabled and the user tries to remove the last
FC-MAP, the following error message is displayed:
Last FC-MAP cannot be removed as FIP Snooping is enabled.
If hardware resources are not available and no more ACLs are available to
program, the following error message is displayed:
Error: Maximum number of session/connection entries have been reached.
3. Configure the FCF Port
This step must be executed for each uplink port that is to be configured to
carry FCoE traffic to the FCF. If multiple links are aggregated, execute this
step on the aggregated interface only.
These warning/error messages may appear when FIP Snooping is being con-
figured.
Only one FCF-MAC can be configured per interface. If a FCF-MAC is already
configured on a FCF port and the user tries to configure another one, the
following error message is displayed:
FCF-MAC address <mac-addr> is already configured on this interface.
FCF-MAC address should be unique for every port. If the user tries to configure
the same FCF-MAC address for more than a port, the following error message
is displayed:
The FCF-MAC address <mac-addr> is already configured on one of the FCF ports.
Only uplink ports can be configured as FCF ports and for FCF-MAC addresses.
If the user tries to configure a non-uplink port as a FCF port the following
error message is displayed:
FCF-MAC address can be configured only on uplink ports.
Syntax: [no] interface <int> fcf-mac <MAC-ADDRESS>
[no] fcf-mac <MAC-ADDRESS>
Used to specify a port as a FCF port and to configure FCF-MAC
for that port. Configures Fibre Channel Forwarder (FCF) MAC for
a port. Only one FCF-MAC can be configured per interface.
