Service Processor Placement
A service processor designed to support all actions required for the maintenance of the storage
system also resides at the bottom of the cabinet to provide real time, automated monitoring. The
service processor allows HP to diagnose and resolve potential problems remotely.
The service processor is usually installed directly above the PDUs and below the battery tray
(Figure 13 (page 26)). The service processor is powered internally by the storage system and does
not require an external power connection.
