6. Select Use SSL while adding a new storage system in System Reporter to enable 3.1.2 MU3 P16,
3.1.1 MU3 P27, or 2.3.1 MU5 P35 patches. It collectively enables management of SSL certificate
and enforces certificate validation.
For existing storage systems, ensure that the Using SSL column is set to 1 in the Inserv Systems
tab.
7. Restart the sampleloop service.
Windows
1. Navigate to Windows Control Panel→Administrative Tools→Services.
2. In the Services window, right-click 3PAR System Reporter sampler and then click Restart.
Close the Services window.
Linux
Execute /etc/init.d/sampleloop restart command.
NOTE:
• HP recommends you to use the latest HP 3PAR Remote CLI Client available as part of HP 3PAR
OS 3.1.2 MU3 P16.
• Existing System Reporter setup with old CLI client might continue to work with the HP 3PAR Storage
System after installing HP 3PAR OS 3.1.2 MU3 P16, 3.1.1 MU3 P27, and 2.3.1 MU5 P35
patches.
• Manually add the certificate in the exception file as mentioned in Step 3 even for the storage
systems that do not have the enhancement patches. You do not have to add a certificate for
subsequent storage systems that do not have the patch as the certificate is already added in the
exception file for a storage system without 3.1.2 MU3 P16, 3.1.1 MU3 P27, or 2.3.1 MU5 P35
patches.

System Reporter now supports:
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 U1-U2 (32-bit only if using Oracle, 32-bit or 64-bit otherwise).
• Windows Server 2012 Japanese language.
• MS SQL Server 2012.
• QoS Performance metric.
With QoS Performance metric in External System Reporter, HP 3PAR customers can perform the
following:
◦ Enable certainty and predictability for each applicant/tenant.
◦ Get a real time assessment of system performance limits.
◦ All host I/Os on the VV set are monitored and measured against the Service Level objective.
◦ QoS rule can be created on IOPs, Bandwidth or both per VVSet.
◦ QoS Performance metric chart can be generated using Custom reports/Excel client/Schedule
reports.
