This release notes document is for Patch 88 (P88) and applies to the 3PAR InForm OS version 2.2.4.160
MU6 and later or 2.3.1.208 GA and later.

CAUTION: HP 3PAR Storage Systems must be upgraded to a minimum of InForm OS 2.2.4 MU6
before installing Patch 88.
1.3 Patch 88 Diagnostic Utility
Patch 88 (P88) is a patch to an automated and non-disruptive background diagnostic utility that
proactively scans PD chunklets and Logical Drives (LDs) to monitor and validate data integrity and
identify and re-initialize unallocated chunklets if necessary. This is a Read-Only process that induces
less than 5% CPU overhead. This background utility identifies possible data integrity issues and these
details are delivered to HP 3PAR Support for investigation, evaluation, and appropriate action.
NOTE: If systems with sustained high CPU utilization are present, consult HP 3PAR Support before
implementing this patch.

for consistency in R1 3–mirror LDs (Logical Disks). It reports the correct
LD and VV offset where a mismatch is observed.
