Ensure that there is one host port zoned to one peer port and another host port zoned to another
peer port or network connectivity from server to source is proper or 3PAR source/destination array
is in communication."
Source/Destination array is unreachable
It may be necessary to restart HP 3PAR Peer Motion Utility to solve this problem.
Symptom: While adding an HP 3PAR storage system as a source/destination, it took too long to
load the 3PAR details.
Error: Unable to connect to Source/Destination HP 3PAR storage system, ensure that IP address
etc. is proper.
Resolution: Use the following steps to isolate and solve the problem:
1. Ping the 3PAR storage system's IP address from the server where HP 3PAR Peer Motion Utility
is running.
2. Make sure the port number specified when adding the source/destination is correct. If you
are still unable to add destination, continue to step 3.
3. Restart the HP 3PAR Peer Motion Utility. Contact HP Customer Support for assistance before
attempting to restart the HP 3PAR Peer Motion Utility.
Losing communication with 3PAR storage array
Symptom: In rare instances, HP 3PAR Peer Motion Utility loses communication with HP 3PAR
storage system and results in the following error:
Error: OIUERRDST0001 Unable to connect to HP 3PAR storage system OIURSLDST0001 Please
ensure that IP address etc. is proper
Resolution: Restart HP 3PAR Peer Motion Utility.
Resolving general errors:
Symptom: Source/Destination storage system is unreachable or failed to load data on time:
Failed to start data transfer
Preparation stage failed because data from the source/destination storage system could not
be fully loaded.
Host set creation failed because data from destination storage system could not be fully loaded
Error:
The source/destination storage system is busy and did not provide the required data within
the expected time.
Network latency between server component and the source/destination storage system.
Resolution:
1. Verify that the source/destination storage system is not overloaded.
2. Identify and correct any network latency issues.
3. Retry the operation.
4. If the problem persists, restart the HP 3PAR Peer Motion Utility.
Migration preparation failed (createmigration)
Symptom: Create migration failed.
Error: The preparation process failed to admit volumes on the destination storage system.
Resolution: Verify the following:
1. The destination storage system is accessible.
2. The destination CPGs has enough capacity. If they do not, free up enough capacity in the
CPGs or add more capacity to the CPGs on the destination storage system.
3. No duplicate volumes exist. This may occur if either a virtual volume with same name or with
the same WWN exists on the destination storage system.
