Chapter 1 About This Guide
This document will guide system administrators through the steps of logging in, setting their user
preferences, and setting up user security. It also explains how to set up policies.
Complete information for using the Policy Server application is included in the online help for the
application. Installed with Policy Server, help is accessible from each page of the application.
Notes: The terms "asset" and "device" are synonymous. You will see both terms used in the user
interfaces, APIs, and documentation for HP 3PAR Policy Server.
The term "Agents" and "Agent" in this guide refer to the Policy Agents and Agent gateways.
