1 Overview of HP 3PAR OS
This release notes document describes the modifications and known issues for Patch 24. The
application of this patch is intended for HP 3PAR OS 3.1.2.484 (MU3). Only an authorized HP
Service Provider should perform this maintenance procedure.

Verifying the patch installation
The installation of Patch 24 can be verified from an interactive CLI session. Issue the CLI command
showversion -a -b to verify that Patch 24 is listed.

Modifications to the HP 3PAR OS
The purpose of this firmware patch is to ensure correct performance of Avago D9 SFP transceiver
at 8Gb speed and avoid Remote Copy synchronization timeout.
This release addresses following items:
