HP 3PAR OS 3.1.1 MU3 Patch 27 Release Notes (QL226-97102)

For new CLX customers:
• Install 3PAR CLI version 3.1.1 MU3 P27 on all Microsoft failover cluster nodes.
• Install the CLX product and refer to the CLX Administrator Guide at the HP 3PAR Cluster Extension
Manuals page for CLX configuration details.
As part of CLX Configuration, you must accept the SSL certificate for the HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage
System using the CLX Configuration Tool before any operation is performed with HP 3PAR Cluster
Extension for Windows.
1.7.3 Web Services API
Web Service API SDK version 1.2.2 includes modifications to the Java client that demonstrates some
of the ways a client can verify the SSL certificate presented by HP 3PAR Storage System. By default,
the new Java sample client will expect to find a keystore file with appropriate data for verifying the
certificate. See the README.txt file in the Java folder of the SDK for more information on how the
client’s behavior can be changed.
The sample clients in the 1.1 and 1.2 versions of Web Service API SDK continue to work with HP
3PAR Storage System after the installation of Patch 27. They will not attempt to validate a new SSL
certificate
1.7.4 Recovery Manager for Exchange
HP 3PAR Recovery Manager Software for Exchange version 4.4.2 is designed to work with HP 3PAR
VSS Provider for Microsoft Windows version 2.2.2 (see “VSS Provider” (page 7)) to validate the SSL
certificate when connecting to an HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage System.
You must accept the SSL certificate of the HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage System using HP 3PAR VSS
Provider for Microsoft Windows version 2.2.2 before any operation is performed with HP 3PAR
Recovery Manager Software for Exchange.

NOTE: HP 3PAR Recovery Manager for Exchange version 4.4.2 bundles the new CLI client that is
included in Patch 27. Separate installation of the CLI client is not necessary.
1.7.5 Recovery Manager for SQL
HP 3PAR Recovery Manager Software for SQL version 4.4.2 is designed to work with HP 3PAR VSS
Provider for Microsoft Windows version 2.2.2 (see “VSS Provider” (page 7)) to validate the SSL
certificate when connecting to an HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage System.
You must accept the SSL certificate of the HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage System using HP 3PAR VSS
Provider for Microsoft Windows version 2.2.2 before any operation is performed with HP 3APR
Recovery Manager Software for SQL.

1.7.6 VSS Provider
HP 3PAR VSS Provider for Microsoft Windows version 2.2.2 prompts you to validate and accept the
SSL certificate of an HP StoreServ Storage System.
During installation of HP 3PAR VSS Provider for Microsoft Windows version 2.2.2 and registration of
a new HP StoreServ Storage System, you will be prompted with the information about the SSL certificate
of an HP StoreServ Storage System. Installation of HP 3PAR VSS Provider for Microsoft Windows
