1.6 CLI Client The CLI client now prompts you for a new SSL certificate when connecting to HP 3PAR Storage System. When accepting a new SSL certificate, you can save its information in the exception file. Once the information is saved, CLI client will connect to the same HP 3PAR Storage System without prompting. You can choose the directory where the exception file is created by the –certdir option or by the TPDCERTDIR environment variable. The default is $HOME/.
For new CLX customers: • Install 3PAR CLI version 2.3.1 MU5 P35 on all Microsoft failover cluster nodes. • Install the CLX product and refer to the CLX Administrator Guide at the HP 3PAR Cluster Extension Manuals page for CLX configuration details. As part of CLX Configuration, you must accept the SSL certificate for the HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage System using the CLX Configuration Tool before any operation is performed with HP 3PAR Cluster Extension for Windows. 1.7.
version 2.2.2 and registration of a new HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage System continue only if the SSL certificate is accepted. The SSL certificate of the HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage System must be accepted using HP 3PAR VSS Provider for Microsoft Windows version 2.2.2. See the HP 3PAR VSS Provider 2.2.2 Software for Microsoft Windows User Guide at the HP 3PAR VSS Provider Manuals page for further details. NOTE: The new CLI client in Patch 35 needs to be installed before VSS Provider is installed. 1.7.
6. Launch HP 3PAR CLI again to test the connection. Enter the login credentials and connect to the HP 3PAR StoreServ. If the certificate is correctly configured, then a connection is established with HP 3PAR StoreServ without prompting to accept the certificate. Repeat the same procedure for systems that have HP 3PAR SRA 4.1 installed and HP 3PAR OS/CLI upgraded to version 2.3.1 MU5 P35 or 3.1.1 MU3 P27. NOTE: If the SSL certificate expires, then repeat steps 2 through 4 to add a new certificate. 1.7.
