General Control and Help Commands
Table 6 (page 48) shows the general control and help commands that you can use to view help
text online while using the InForm OS CLI.

Pages the output of commands. Valid syntax for using this
command is cmore <command>.
cmore
Terminates the program.exit
Lists all commands or details for the specified topic.
Specifying –search <topic> allows you to search
help –search <topic>
command help by topic. Use this command when running
from a system’s native shell.

clihelp –search <topic>
Displays help text for individual CLI commands. Lists all
help text for the specified command. Use this command
when running from a system’s native shell.

Displays help text for individual CLI commands. Lists all

Display column help (when applicable). See “Commands
with Column Help” (page 48)for a list of applicable
commands.
clihelp –col <command>
Displays help text for individual CLI commands. Lists all
help text for the specified command.
<command> –h
Commands with Column Help
Column help is provided for some commands to clarify the meaning of each column of data by
defining the meaning of the column headers.
Access column help as follows:
cli% clihelp –col <command>
