• Jobs[ ]: HP defined parameter. If one or more Jobs is created as a side-effect of the execution
of the method, then a reference to those Jobs is returned through this parameter (may be NULL
if job is completed). For physical copy if vv sets, HP 3PAR OS actually spawns one job for
each of the vv pairs and not one job for the whole set. The jobs parameter contains an array
of references to each job.
• Synchronization: Refers to the created association between the source element (or source
replication group) and the target replication group. HP 3PAR OS does not have the capability
to keep track of the vv set synchronized with another vv set. Only individual sync-ed vv pair
is known. Therefore, as a compromise, only the StorageSynchronized association of the first
vv pair in the vv set will be returned.
• Synchronizations[ ]: HP defined parameter. A list that refers to the created associations between
the source and the target elements. If jobs are created, this parameter may be NULL, unless
the associations are actually formed.
• TargetSettingGoal: The definition for the StorageSetting to be maintained by the target storage
object (the replica).
◦ For snapshots only the following properties are applicable: BaseID, ExpirationTimer and
RetentionTimer.
◦ For clones only the following properties are applicable: ThinlyProvisioned, UserDSPName,
SnapDSPName.
• TargetPool: The underlying storage for the target element (the replica) will be drawn from
TargetPool if specified, otherwise the allocation is implementation specific.
◦ For snapshots this parameter is ignored.
◦ For clones, this parameter if specified can be any DynamicStoragePool; if not specified,the
clone will be allocated from the same parent DynamicStoragePool as the source volume.
