HP 3PAR 3.1.3 Downgrade Instructions

3 Verification and Preparation

1. Verify that the hardware is compatible with HP 3PAR OS 3.1.2.484 (MU3). If the hardware

is not compatible with HP 3PAR OS 3.1.2.484 (MU3), the downgrade procedure cannot

continue.

2. Run Out of the Box (OOTB) following the normal procedures.

3. Verify that Peer Motion is stopped before downgrading. Refer to the HP 3PAR Peer Motion

Manager User Guide for additional information.

4. If storage system is not added to the SP, then to add the storage system to the SP, enter: =3.2

and press Enter, then follow the instructions from the SP.

5. From the SPMAINT main menu, enter: 7 (Interactive CLI for a StoreServ) and

select the Storage System.

6. To verify that all disks are in normal state, enter: showpd -s.

7. Enter: showpd and make note of the number of Physical Disks (PDs) in the system.

8. To check PDs status and firmware level, enter:

showpd -showcols Id,CagePos,Node_WWN,Manuf,FW_Rev,Serial,FW_Status

9. To check cage status and firmware, enter:

showcage –d

10. Verify the health of the Storage System. For more information, see “Performing Check Health”
