When a group SS creation request is issued, sysmgr
installs VVblock on all participating parent VVs in
kernel. The callback for each SS creation in sysmgr
nullifies VVblock information for parent VV and
this parent VV is now available for participating in
another SS or group SS creation request. If sysmgr
issues multiple VVblock requests for same parent
VV, kernel VVblock IOCTL codepath will assert
seeing inconsistency. The fix is to NOT nullify
VVblock information for participating parent VV
until ref count for VVblock in sysmgr decrements to
zero.
57895 Rolling upgrade from
2.2.4.164 to 2.3.1.286
failed
During rolling upgrade the cluster mask indicating
which nodes should be shut down was incorrectly
set in a particular upgrade scenario. This resulted in
the upgrade not completing and the cluster
reverting to the previous software build.
58751 Drives cannot be
admitted to the InServ
after upgrading the
Hitachi 2TB drive
firmware from A3EA
to A3GG firmware.
The A3GG firmware packaged with 2.3.1 P11 had
resulted in an incorrect setting of BR-2401. This
caused the drive to use a WWN generated by the
bridge and was reset or power cycled. The bridge
generated WWN does not change if the drive was
replaced and thus will not allow the drive to be
admitted.
NOTE: If you are running 2.3.1 MU2 P11, you will
need to add P14 in order to upgrade to 2.3.1 MU3.
